Connect Stripe before you sell

Money for ticket sales goes to your own Stripe account, not to a Venued balance you withdraw from later. Connect it from your business account’s settings. Until it is connected, the Payouts page says so and links you straight to the place that fixes it.

Set this up before you publish a paid event, not after the first sale. An event that can take money but cannot pay it out is the one case here that is genuinely awkward to unwind.

Who gets paid

The business account that owns the event is the one that gets paid. If you run events under more than one business account, check which one you are in before you build the event: the switcher at the top right always names it.

Legal and tax details

Selling tickets makes you a merchant, so Venued asks for the details that go with that: your legal business name, your address, and your tax position. Where small-business VAT rules apply to you, say so in your settings and your invoices will reflect it.

These live with your business account rather than with your login, because they describe the business and stay with it.

Refunds

Refunds are issued against the original order and follow Stripe’s own timing to reach the buyer’s statement. Cancelling an event does not silently refund everybody: deciding what happens to the money is yours to make deliberately.
